 Music has a way of emphasizing the loveliness of a situation. It’s timeless, universal, and crosses every cultural line. Humans NEED music. Imagine a ballet without a symphony, or your favorite movies without their soundtracks.

Did you know there’s some actual science behind the boost a good playlist can add to your workout?

In a 2012 study, Costas Karageorghis, a leading expert on the psychology of exercise music, wrote,

“One could think of music as a type of legal performance enhancing drug.”

Uh, yes please. 


The study went on to explain how music can distract from fatigue, increases endurance, and even promote metabolic efficiency. Whether its a sweaty sculpt class, or a soothing slow flow yoga session, we’re into the science of music and movement.
